Who is the douche bag?
I paid $110 shipped for mine, and install is free and takes about 30 mins. The gas ones are cheaper I think, and might be a little tougher to install, because you will need to come up with your own brackets, but it shouldnt be too bad.
There is NO wiring to hook up to the car, its basically just an inline pump/heater on a main coolant line.
You plug it in nightly.
My car is at full operating temperature in the morning, blowing HOT heat immediately.
You can put a timer on the outlet to go on 2-3 hours before you leave in the morning if you are worried about too much power consumption… but it does have an internal thermostat as well.
All of the snow will melt off of the hood and windshield as well.
i would just run an extension cord from my neighbors place
Thanks…
I’d seen old diesel block heaters that were glorified electric blankets… which was why I asked.
