My budddy has a 92 prelude with a 2.3 h23a engine in it, the engine is blown and he wants to get a h22a vtec, will it bolt up to the stock engine mounts?

everything will work fine. swap the motor and ecu and your good to go.
you will have to wire up vtec , otherwise its a plug and play deal
and the knock sensor, it’s normally easier just to find a prelude VTEC wiring harness.
common swap and pretty easy to do.
