my buddy has a 92 prelude with the h23a in it, the engine is blown. Can he use the crank shaft (if it is good) out of that engine to put in a h22a vtec?

I’m not sure about H series interchangeability. Ask Gearhead, he’s one of the only guys locally that does H-stuff.

If it is the H23A - it has 55mm mains, the only H22A that has 55’s are the 98 and up ones(H22A4). The H23A1 has 50mm mains however and would work with older H22A’s.
