so shortly i am going to buy a new carb for my 306 that is shown in the members projects section. and sometime in the near future i plan to run nitrous with my setup. now my question to you guys is would i have to get a carb thats got a larger cfm if i planned to run like a 100 shot or something around there… now im gonna get a carb thats bigger than stock obviously but add nitrous and would i go even further or stick with the same size??
I dont know what mustang guys do, but building a nitrous motor isn’t quite as dependent on carb cfm size as it is other things. If you are not spraying a wet shot, then the carb choice would be more important.
well the nitrous system i wanna gonna go with is a wet system. im pretty sure the engine will hold up since its just about new. as for a carb. i was thinkin of goin with a 670cfm Holley Street Avenger. Just wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions before i make this investment.
That motor is crying for E.F.I
i have a 670 street avenger here for sale. if using a plate system you should be fine since you will be adding fuel with spray
yeah the system uses th plate…how much you want for the carb. is it new/used??
set the carb up for the engine all motor setup. tune your carb to match the engine. as w/ the wet kit, it will be adding fuel and n02 together and wont lean out your a/f setting of the carb on the motor.
if u can, even setup the nitrous fuel delivery on it’s own–i.e. 5 gallon tank, own fuel line/pump/regulator.
Thanks ill keep that in mind
