Need help with DRL

My DRL is shorted out. I unscrewed it from the bumper, and tried to look for where water was getting in. I couldn’t see anywhere where this would occur. I then tried to disconnect the entire light but couldn’t. Is there anything I can use (ie. some sort of spray or something) to get this disconnected without breaking the connector? I think maybe the prongs are melted together inside of the connection, but it could just be hard to disconnect. Ideas?

Nobody has got any ideas?

Corrosion is usually the culprit. Check behind the bulb inside the socket.

Yes, I replaced the bulb and a day or so later it was out again. Inside the bulb there is this milky coloured coating (no smart ass comments please  ). It made a cool design actually.

There wasn’t much, if any, rust in the socket behind the bulb. That’s where I though the problem would be too.

I was thinking the next step would be to look for where the water was getting in, patching it up, put a new bulb in and I’d be set, but I couldn’t find anything. I then went to disconnect the whole light from the cable, but that’s where I’m stuck. Other than cutting and soldering (thanks Jessie), is there any other options anyone knows of?
