Need help withGPS tracking

looking for a small, rather inexpensive GPS, web Based tracking device, that would last longer than a few hours. I need to be able to place this inside of a dummy Trail cam.

I have had 7 cameras stolen on my lease hunting ground, in the last 3 months, and i want to see where they are going. They were even chained and padlocked to the trees, and still gone.

Anyone know of anything that maybe be able to do this???

put a camera on your camera from a different vantage point?

i’ve worked for a company that used these:
http://www.findmespot.com/en/

dunno about pricing though, they should have consumer grade devices at dunhams or cabelas/ gander mtn

Tried that but it left too.:frowning:

Thought about that, but it only works after pressing a button on the device.

what about a cell phone in there… cant people track cell phones… hell my work phone i never use lasts like 2 weeks without being charged. i dont know if you can easily track them though… just an idea… but then again thats loosing a perfectly good cell phone too. just a stupid idea. haha

a dye pack stuffed in camera bag :kekegay:

It doesn’t seem as though anyone other thanp olice or the cell provider can track it easily. But lossing a cell would be chaeper than 7 high end trail cams.

This may work well, there would be a great chance of seeing them walking up to the camera.

There’s a few companies that offer GPS tracking equipment for toolboxes, tools, and heavy equipment. Something like that would work since it’s on its own battery power.

Something like this:

put the next camera up with a sign that says this camera has a gps tracker in it, take it and you will be found lol

stupid hippies

Hide in waiting with binoculars until they come for the camera, quietly track them, then POUNCE!

Sure, it’s a huge time investment, may require missing work, and you may be exposed to the elements for days, but oh the payoff at the end.

shoot deer the old fashioned way without cameras?

^^^that’s what I’m saying. Can’t see the sport in deer hunting anymore. If there needs to be that mutch trickery and technology to bag a deer, then the deer must be smarter than they used to be… so wait, maybe it’s the deer themselves who are stealing the cameras, lol.

Search around on google trail cams. Amazing pictures too

Like the rednecks out of the truck window?

Yea, its more about the pictures of the deer, and bears playing and eating than killing. Hell I haven’t shot a dear in 15+ years. Killing shit is easy. I perfer the pictures of them grazing and walking, even had a few of them screwing last year.

yeah it’s beat… we use commercial grade which monitor for 96 hours if i remember correctly… I’m sure you want something more long term, almost like a movement sensor to start tracking… i do know though, on these devices, you hit the button and then have 24 hours of tracking using google maps… so in theory, if the camera is close enough, you can track it daily until it happens… or show up nightly at 8pm and track until 8pm the next night kind of deal?

best of luck… if you find something post it up.

x2 for the deer are stealing the cameras.

Re-read that a few times
Sound like a pedophile for animals

Yea I knew that was coming the second I posted it, but said what the hell.
