as some of you know i have a truck that is completely frankenstined together. i was wondering if i could find a website that would be able to tell me what gm parts fit other gm models and years like a 82 blazer engine fitting in a 90’s pickup, and suspension parts that are the same and other parts.
I don’t think there is one site that will tell you everything you need to know. Forums are a big help, start looking for what you need to cross reference and go from there.
I’ll help ya out a little. This is general advice and there may be a few exceptions but I’m not gonna go into that much detail.
Assuming you are talking about a small block, yes the Blazer engine will fit and bolt in. But you are talking about 2 different animals. 90’s pickups are fuel injected and the Blazer has a carb. If its a early 90s, then you can run a carb on it and eliminate the fuel injection. If its mid or late 90s then its not worth it trying to make it work mainly due to it having either a 4L60 or a 4L80 trans, both of which are electronic transmissions and won’t easily work with a carb.
Suspension.
Virtually nothing is the same between the 80s and 90s.
all together i have an 80’s frame, 80’s blazer engine (with a 6cylinder tranny, dont ask the guy was an idiot), 54 body, and suspension off some random saburban.
