Need Opinions on Interior

I’m trying to figure out how I want to finish my interior here in the next couple days. For sure I’m doing the upper part of the dash in black alcantara, with red stitching.

The double stitch goes where it’s show in those photos to match my sparco seats.

What I’m trying to figure out is, do I do the lower part of the dash in black to match? Or do I do it in red like the Ferrari 360CS?

I’m also modifying a set of door panels for my car the uppers will be black alcantara to match the upper part of the dash. The lowers will be simplified down a bit like the 911 RS door panels, but will probably be done in either aluminum, carbon, or matching alcantara with whatever the lower part of the dash looks like.

Thanks for the opinions/suggestions.

dual tone interior like that would be hot.

no opinion on the door panels.

^ same here

I love dual tone interiors. Get the doors to match and :pimp:

red bottom

yeah two tone would be hot, but just dont over-do it. also, make sure u use quality materials, i did something like this on my 300zx a while back and it looked like shit becuase the material looked cheesy

No, I’m using real alcantara, not the fake stuff. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Here are rough shots (rough for two reasons, 1. the interior is in pieces, 2. the photoshop was done in about 2 minutes).

Everything will be in the same material as the steering wheel. (Just use your imagination, hahahahaha.)

haha, i think that looks sweet man. good luck

Seats are red, right?

If so, are you going to get the red dash material from Sparco so that it matches the seats perfectly? I would hate to do all of that and have two different shades of red.

They would be the same color.

But I just ordered all black with red stitching, decided I didnt want to take the chance on the red. Should look great, now I just need to figure out what I’m going to do with the door panels

I only hate you because you are doing to your car what i will be doing later this year, and that makes me a follower :frowning:

My intreior is going to be all black alcantara with red stiching… at least you aren’t doing the motor swap, or hopefully custom led lighting either

LED tails are already in the works…:meh:

Atleast I’m figuring out the issues for you… I’ll be bringing the car out for the detail offer and you can ask me allllll the questions you want (like we talked about).

I obviously like the two-tone interior…but when it’s subtle. Bright Red/Black would be to darastic for me. Doing the blue/black with my car was a HUGGGGE jump/decision for me, but i’m glad i did it.

Let me know if you need contacts for Alcantara, i only found 2 in the U.S. and depending on the options (backing fabric, foam, ect…) you’re looking at about $100/yard and 1 of them required a 3 yard minimum.

For my seats, i ended up using 3 1/2 Yards of Black Alcantara (ordered from the UK)
For my doors… i used about 2 1/2 Yards of BLue Alcantara (ordered from NYC)

2-tone looks pretty sweet…

Thanks for the suggestions LAFENGAS. The guy who is building the dash for me is using real Italian Alcantara, no idea where it’s coming from, but he said it is genuine.

yeah, “italian” is the only kind of Alcantara that exists…it’s a manufactures name and the only manufacturer is in Italy. They supply Ferrari and BMW with OEM material.

Yeah, I dont know the details. I just told him I wanted Alcantara and that I wanted the stitching. That stuff is beyond my relm, which is why I pay for it.

Thanks for the info though!

I think that red would be a bit much all across the bottom.

But I’m very conservative when it comes to these types of things.

I just did the dash in the Rally car in microsuede… hot.
