Just kidding, fuck that I don’t want kids. However I did buy this guy, 2006 BMW X3, silver with black interior. Very simple and base model minus the pano roof which I love. My main point of action with getting a new to me car was to establish some credit via my work because I have nearly zero and I got an unreal rate and deal on this because I am an employee. And to top it off the Audi stays in the family because my sister took it off my hands. Win win for everyone. Also I think these look awesome with coilovers and some wheels, which it will get come spring, and they are pretty fun to drive too.
Never thought I’d be an suv guy but I love this thing so far. Only one picture for now of the car and then my inspiration below it of a potential setup. C&C welcome.
UPDATE:
so i bought these… 19x9 +35 all around, also adder new bmw roof bars
and turned into this…
happy with it so far, kw v2 coilovers in the spring
That X5 is project x from fluid motor union. The final product is even more badass. I actually looked into doing the opposite first but there’s nearly no info out there because lifting a X3 is like blasfamy to these guys on the forums that have them.
I would be down for helping source the parts to lift it. Did you at least get it in stick? And how is the pano roof working for you? They have a real high failure rate so dont open it in the winter if you can remember not to.
I wish I could’ve gotten it in stick but sadly it’s an auto. The sticks are rare and I have a limited audience being that it had to be something thru my dealer, price point, etc etc. I’m going to do some more research on lifting it. I already contacted Fluid last week and am awaiting reply on some things. Pano roof works great, definitely fail a bunch but I have an extended warranty on this so no worries there
