I say look at it this way,…you cannot afford a LS1 Ws6 or SS. But you can afford a LT1 fbody and they still look sick and rip. They are far better looking and perfoming that both your cars now…so why not “settle” for one now and get your LS1 a little later when you have more cash and the prices will be lower anyways. I think that is a lot better than driving a gay ass Neon and shelby for a few years then getting a LS1.

why so he can waste more money? drive the neon save up a shit load of cash get better credit… make decent down payment on a ls1 in a few years… and you’ll have money left to mod the fucker after you trade in the fuckin neon. problem solved.

i almost bought one before i got the neon… it was a 93 blue GT with cobra intake, cams, exhaust and a huge fenderwell intake…
just starting it up i fell in love the the cams.

but the car had lots of orange peel, and the cowl hood needed repainted… 87kmiles and he wanted 3grand

Waste money? He could buy a fbody now and he can sell it in a few years and use that money to put towards a LS1. What do you think hid Neon will be worth so much in a few years? He wouldnt need much more cash after he would sell his neon to get into a decent LT1. In my eyes it is worth and extra grand or two now to have a cool car for 2 or 3 years. The NEWEST LT-1 fbody is a 97, which is about 8 years old.

one you have no idea about cars neon boy. stangs of that era only have one cam. second of all stangs from 87 to 93 are the same. 87 to 88 have SD 89 to 93 are maf. now 93 have hyper pistons. in 92 they went with color matched moldings. so get facts straight. that kind of money for that car was worth it. also 87k isnt shit, thats just breaking in. these motors run forever just about. look at shags. 80k of serious hard fucking miles
