Well back to track today after having rest of cage welded in, kinda happy after adding 30-40 lb to the car…
First pass:
broke up really bad…
1.54 60 ft
10.5 @ 135 … seemed like it loaded up rich again, but last carb move I had leaned secondaries more… so reversed the move from 105 - 108 rear jets…
Second pass…
1.345 60 ft almost on bumper again…
6.16 @ 111.5 1/8 mile
9.68 @ 139.8
Third pass…
1.41 60 ft - spun pretty hard…
6.19 @ 111.3
9.75 @ 139.7
fourth pass…
1.340 60ft
6.15 @ 111.5
9.80 @ 127 - nailed brakes at end twice because I was past him pretty early - did not realize I had red lit… wish I would have stayed in it to maybe get a new best again.
Not bad, would like to find out what car weighs - used to weigh 3440 with 350 and iron heads…
Anyone know difference between iron headed small block and alum headed BBC?? also added suspension parts and cage addition… I am guessing about 3500 with me…
Thanks guys for the compliments!! Yeah deffinetly a fun ride, went back saturday - think the sidewalls are shot on my hoosiers!! spun every pass, 60 fts ranging from 1.39-1.54 best et being 9.75, couple of them would have been in the 9.6x again with a good 60… Not sure if its my tires or the complete lack of prep as usual… But last year it was hooking pretty consistant…
