I would add your last pic to the back of the card rather than have half of a logo.

Impressive, very nice. Lets see Paul Allen’s card.

It was at that moment I realized his business card was better then mine

From a graphical and marketing stand point, a) the logo is a generic one from free sites. b) the sans-serif/serif mixing of fonts is a little off c) really shouldn’t use a gmail account if you want to seem legit. register a dot com for your email and get a generic site up with basic info.

No hate or anything. Just giving you a point of view

I agree with all these points. You can get a wordpress site going that can look just like an actual site and requires almost no knowledge of web design at all. You really want a web presence now-a-days. If you plan on buying a site or domain name, choose wisely. something like cleverconstructioninbuffalonewyork dot com is obnoxious and nobody will remember/type that. As for the fonts, I’d just jam a solid Sans Serif font, they are more popular and very clean looking. I’ll still be giving you a call once I move in.

Give me a bunch to pass…!

I suck at interwebs…can you explain this process?

If I want to start a web “business” or advertising site how do I register a dot com? Cost?

Will trade graphic & site development for window installation

Go to www.namecheap.com or a similar registrar/host and buy a domain name & the lowest cost shared hosting. Domain registration is like $10-13 a year. Hosting is Anywhere from $5 - $25 a month for a small shared host.

Also checkout Squarespace.com. It does a lot of the heavy lifting for you.

Domains are $10 a year or less if you go longer.

You would need to setup your email stuff or use the built in email with your hosting providerwhich can be anywhere from 99 cents to $10 a month depending on what you want to do. Google Apps also provides Gmail interface and storage for people with dot coms so you dont need to learn a new email client and even can add the account to your personal gmail so for business messages, they can come from you@yourbusiness.com and not your personal one.

I have been doing a ton of quick out of the box setups that are a la carte for building that start anywhere from $200 and go up into the thousands depending on what you want just for this purpose of getting a business name out there and showing up on Google. With the latest wave of customers being more internet savy, you need to secure your .com’s and make sure you show up to searches because the days of getting a ad flier or classifieds are over.

Setup a .TK LOL

We just did a house on darwin drive too
Also for you people saying how important a website is… it’s really not. Most of the time people just use emails to setup something quick, rather than calling (which is dumb imo), and then everything after the initial conversation of interest will probably be in person.
