new camera, pics of the p-car

Well my gf and i just bought a new camera (Canon EOS Rebel T1i) so we went out and fucked around with it for some night shots. Any advice on the camera or settings to try would be greatly appreciated.

looks good.

thinking about moving into a p-car myself…

ive had mine since june and still puts a smile on my face every time i drive her haha. Its still bone stock as well. Probably going to upgrade slightly to k16/16g hybrid turbos and a tune over the winter though

If your not already, get a tripod and use it.

With the camera on a tripod, set it to the lowest ISO and put the timer delay on so you wont be touching the camera when it fires. The lower ISO will require longer exposure times, but the pictures will have little-no noise and be very crisp.

Preferably you would want to use an aux flash too. The on-camera flash tends to suck.

Nice car though!

^^ thanks for the advice man. Ive learned a tripod is def a must and on the Christmas list haha.

Love the car! One of these days I’ll be able to afford one… it’s a five year goal.

Ive been waiting for this… so no regrets?

Looks nice, does that silver had a bit of blue in it like the pic in your sig, or is it really that white.

x…

I actually read the other day that its not that expensive or difficult to make 600-700 whp with these on pump gas. Any truth to that?

Spencer, that’s accurate. It takes tiny turbos to do it as well. You don’t even need something like twin 28R’s.

Very clean looking car

Needs moar GT2 wing!

+1

Hottt car, it just looks so tame/docile!

:naab:

Probably doesn’t, but you’d put pump gas in it, and leave it in the garage 364 days of the year.

x…

not a single one  hows florida been treating you man??

the sig picture was with my shitty dig. camera haha. Its more of light silver… i think porsche called it arctic silver.

I am actually trying to put together my stage 2 upgrade and supporting hardware for a winter project. The stock turbos are k16’s and if you hybrid them to k16/16g along with the tune, exhaust, etc you can add another 140ish HP and stay around 4k$ in mods. Not sure if I want to jump to new turbos yet or want to max the k16’s out first. Anyone have thoughts on that?

PM Bracketracer. He’s done a few. IIRC the clutch becomes the weakpoint early on. It can’t handle the torque.

X…

we babysit an X-50 car with software, exhaust and DV’s. it’s pretty stout to say the least. there’s a super light flywheel and spec clutch in it. i personally hate it, it’s nearly undriveable in traffic. it’s like a light switch, it’ll nearly lock on downshifts if you’re not on your toes. race or track car? fine, traffic? bad idea… call me a fairy if you want. if you do have the trans down/engine out, i would definitely change out the slave and cannonball if it hasn’t been done b/c it’s pita in the car (done it…) and it’s only a matter of time until one or the other craps out on you. lay the groundwork with a clutch/flywheel, exhaust, valves, and software from a company that you can upgrade from if you swap the snails. have you changed the coils out? they’re almost as bad as VW or BMW coilpacks and will piss you off guaranteed when they crap out. who are you planning to have do the tune on the hybrid’d turbos? EPL’s hot as of late down in CT near Daddie. road trip?

Greatly appreciate your post spam16v. I have been looking at EPL, spoke with tony there a little about the tune and future plans over on 6speedonline.com I heard good things about Switzer out side of cleveland as well which is a closer hike for me. Have you heard anything about their tunes? switzerperformanceinnovation.com

Ugh beautiful car, I would love to get into either a 997tt or a 996tt down the road. I wonder how expensive these are to mod. Can’t be much more than my S4 lol.

personally i have not, but i’m just the labor force at the shop, Jason/Bracketracer sits online surfing most of the day and takes in everything that is online. I almost dropped an application to work for Tony @ EPL when i was living in West Hartford working at the Porsche dealer there. we work on an aircooled 930 widebody slant nose that does Onelapofamerica every year, and the EPL turbo cars clean up every year.

Such a nice car.

How do you like the interior?

I sat in a 911 Turbo at the Detriot auto show a few years back. I could not believe how comfortable the seats where. It is hard for me to fit comfortably in a two seater. I like left knee space where I can bend my knee where I want it without whacking the steering wheel.
