I’ve been saying this for a while, but a small turbodiesel seems like just the thing to make crossovers not suck. Glad its finally happening. Generally too heavy for a 4 banger, and while most of your average car-based SUV’s will rip with the V6, they aren’t good on gas. Highlanders are a perfect example of this (offered with both I4 and V6). A small turbodiesel wouldn’t be as fast as the V6 most likely, but it would still get out of its own way, and it would have the torque to not feel strained.
