FCC is a self certification… there is no testing laboratory that it has to pass through. The designers of the product can state it meets FCC from the factory. Once the product is in the hands of consumers, the consumers have every right to do whatever they want with it. Apple lost the case against people jailbreaking their iPhones. This would be no different.
Is this because people are running VSPs through their router using DDWRT?
