For the most part your not far off point, however, your numbers are flawed. All of my friends who did Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical engineering or Computer Science started making $60k right off the bat. With hard work and good ideas they’ll brake $100k in no time. All my friends who had a CJ major are either unemployed or working either as mall security or brinks truck drivers. You can’t just say that a BS degree will net you only $35k, that’s simply incorrect.
It’s all relative. I know 0 people who made anything above 40K after college. Suppose those types of jobs would command that, albeit in a saturated market.
