With the right idea in mind you can make money no matter how the economy is doing.

Case and point, economy is going down the drain, everybody foreclosing, business that take care of foreclosures and deal with them get overloaded with work.

Money is always flowing somewhere and is never stable.

Just keep that in mind.

CJ: Honestly I am glad you spun your shit around and started driving out of the hole. Seriously. As pissed as I got and still am over all this, I really don’t want to see you, your friends in the car that night, and that Rob e-thug fuck up your lives by disrespecting people to the point of what we saw here.

Everyone who posted in this thread, regulars on shift, are good people. For the most part have steady career’s, many great accomplishments, attainable goals, great families, great friends, and we all get along in real life. Many of these people I would trust with somethings that I wouldn’t trust some of my family members! This isn’t an attempt to put myself or anyone else here on a high horse, what I am getting at is just pay attention to the people here. There are many wise people on her to learn from. Many of us have made big mistakes, and had shit storms too… we fought through them took the lashings and got past it. The unfortunate thing is people are sponges for negative shit, and some reason people remember the negative stuff that happens over the positives. It wont be easy to gain respect, if you choose to stick around here or partake in public activities related to what goes on here. Sorry, but that’s just how it is.

This entire thing was simply blown up because of the poor decisions you and chris made that night. You both were in the wrong beginning to end, HOWEVER the reason this got spun out of control was simply that once it was brought up, you fought back by denying parts of it, contradicting your statements seconds later nullifying your argument and showing a chink in your armor, allowing others to rip in. All the while Chris already said he knew what he did was wrong and he already took care of his legal issues from this and is on the path to recovering from them. I don’t need to go back over what we already know.

I am sure a lot of what I am saying your probably thinking, yeah guy I already know that. If so, good. If not and this is all news to you, or you still read my words of wisdom and think “Pshhh, what ever man”, you will continue to have issues in life, better get a hold of yourself bro.

Its hard growing up, and its harder now than 10 years ago when I did, and when I grew up it was harder than 10 years prior to that. It seems like in today’s world it can be rather cut and dry. Either your on the train to success or your not even at the station. There really isn’t any happy medium anymore, at least in my eyes. Everywhere you look either people really care about something, or don’t give a shit at all. With that being my opinion, my actions are based on what will put me on that train and not leave me behind. You have to figure it out for yourself, what ever works for you.

My rant is over. My previous statements still stand though. Kindly steer clear of me, until I approach you somehow to make amends. In my eyes, I need to see actions I approve of for me to regain respect for someone, and I am sorry is not acceptable by me, never was and never will be… its the easy way out and more often than not the level of sincerity inst there.

THIS. Well said.

RE: As far as the bachelors degree “making a million dollars” talk. :rofl You do know the average salary for someone graduating with a bachelors degree is $35K or so? The days of graduating and working for a corporation at $80k+ a year are over. The market is saturated. Too many chief, not enough indians.

You don’t have to have a degree to make money. The most successful people I know do not have degrees. Be good at a trade, be fair, and start your own business. Referrals is what business is based off. Both my parents own their own businesses and never went to college. They don’t even advertise hardly anymore and have work in this shit economy.

HVAC is a good example of a trade. Lots of money to be made there. Hustle. You need to take a chance, a gamble. Or you could just be a slave to the “hourly” wage. Your choice.

Problem is America wants a fucking handout. Today’s youth feel like someone owes them something.

For the most part your not far off point, however, your numbers are flawed. All of my friends who did Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical engineering or Computer Science started making $60k right off the bat. With hard work and good ideas they’ll brake $100k in no time. All my friends who had a CJ major are either unemployed or working either as mall security or brinks truck drivers. You can’t just say that a BS degree will net you only $35k, that’s simply incorrect.

K K for President

I have to add:

For most, college is the place we go to learn how to “think”. Its a place a great growth to the majority.

At the end of the day your financial success comes from your willingness to take risks, an opportunity, or dilligence. No one should expect to be the lucky one that picked the NBA Final 64 perfectly.

big plus rep.

I agree with everything you and Dave said 100%.

A little background on ole’ Krazykid. highschool i was told I was good with computers. I graduated and took a year off and worked with my fathers construction company. People said I would never go back to school, that’s only true for people that don’t have a drive to succeed. I worked hard, saved my money, knew right away I thought I didnt want to be swinging a hammer for 50 years and went to school for computer science since I was good at computers. Got my degree and with in a few months I was working in my field at GE. in the last 9 years I changed job locations, 4 times. Each was in the same job description, but a little more money each time, and all but one were overlapping, no unemployment time. This is with a so called saturated market for IT jobs. The only time I was unemployed for 2 months were because I was working on the side making 50hr doing computer shit and said you know what I want some of my tax money back, Ill take that $4xx a week from the state! FU NYS. Woke up one day, said ill look for a job today, a weeks time I was sitting back at a cube, working for NYS doing more computer shit.

It really isnt hard, it just takes drive. Like he said, its all the people looking for the easy way out that fail. I am not the brightest blub in the bunch, but I base most of my decisions on common sense and being aware of my surroundings, and it seems to be keeping me moving forward.

With that being said, I am looking to quit my computer shit job! lol I still have 6$K left on my damn school loan too. I have something stable now, and I am making the most money I have to date, and doing the least amount of actually work I have to date… but I honestly feel I lost a little self worth. My wants, I am trying to change into my needs… for me to reach my goals. if that makes any sense. when I am 40, 11 years from now. I WANT a family, a wife, a bigger house, more land, my own business, making more money than I WANT to spend, and have something steady that I know will pay for my lifestyle, as long as my effort to succeed is still there with it. Now for those wants, I have associated NEEDS (goals). two of which I will accomplish this summer, and should be on a path to make the rest much easier to attain.

My rant patting myself on my back is to show that effort has its good rewards… especially if this ratard can do it! :thumbup

It’s all relative. I know 0 people who made anything above 40K after college. Suppose those types of jobs would command that, albeit in a saturated market.

I feel a lot of this too bud. Hense why I have a couple other ventures other than my 8-5 gig.

Yeah most tech/engineering majors that i know of don’t make much to start at all. I just happen to get in with GE with an AAS in Electrical Engineering from HVCC. Make more that any of my class mates that went on to get a BS.

awww should we all hug and jerk each other off now cause we are fucking awesome at life?!??!?!?! fucking lifefags in here.

I’m down for a hand job.

Marines and try to enlist at a higher rank. The go into OCS to be an officer once I get my feet a little dirty.

in for jerk session

i am down for jerk chicken but thats about it. I agree with wayne we are awesome sauce. :lol I talked to cj a bit on facebook…def slightly unbalanced the kid is. His dad was ppppppiiiisssseedddd about the letter he just got from not to be named source.

Now as far as college opening doors. A 2 yr deg is actually becoming the next highschool diploma level in the job market. Funny thing the career i am in has nothing to do with m college background whatso ever it was just luck i got into it. :eek3

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

wutt? :rofl

Simly put - law or life - the higher the risk of failing the higher the payout if you succeed, low risk = low layout.

Stocks, lottery, business ventures, education etc all follow that rule.

Every single billionaire out there who is self made started out on a high risk venture.

College is an easy way out, therefore low risk and “safe” so don’t expect a high
Payout for the “easy” 2 or even 4 year. If you take on more risk by taking on more loans and going to grad school, it’s a bigger payout.

And Audi jay is right, college degree is a new HS diploma. It doesn’t get you ahead it just puts you on the playing field.
