the undressed front of this car is hideous. looks like a toyota and nissan decided to have a baby.

oh, and dont believe that 11.7 second bs. I mean seriously, if you believe that, you fail.

So ugly. :?

it wont run 11.7 here…but at sea level with ideal conditions where it was tested ya it will probably run that

as far as the looks i think it looks pretty good!

The interior looks like a new mustang and the front end is ugly. Have to wait and see it in person hopefully it looks better.

These are magazine numbers , of course 99.9 % of owners wont be able to hit that ever in the life of the car. Its like Suzuki Hayabusa’s being rated at high 9 or low 10 quarter mile time and people with Nitrous up here are running in the mid tens.

Read some article and hang around the track a little more before you make stupid comments, after all thats why magazines test cars …to see which is the fastest.

WOOT WOOT Transaxle bitches, learning from GM and the Corvettes!!!

The coming Nissan GT-R is a world-class supercar: Top speed of 193 mph, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, a 473 hp, 433 lb ft twin-turbo V6 mounted in the front and driving all four wheels through a rear-mounted transaxle. Take a breath. Okay, continue. And a dual-clutch six-speed automatic you can operate via paddles on the steering wheel.

we know that the all-wheel-drive 2009 GT-R will get a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 473 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. It’ll drive all four wheels through a rear-mounted transaxle. The only transmission will be a GR6 dual-clutch six-speed automatic. And of course there will be paddle shifters for your enjoyment — the same leather-wrapped aluminum paddle shifters as Nissan uses in the G35 sedan.

Nissan says the GT-R will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, finish the quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 192 mph. Base price is expected to be less than $80,000.

If true, the GT-R will be serious competition for the Porsche 911 Turbo, which it has been routinely seen testing alongside.

I think it looks way better than the protoype. I wasn’t feeling that black/cf bumper bar that used to be on it.

About the numbers though, we’ll have to see (Oct 24, right?). I’ve heard so many ridiculous numbers that the magazines have been giving. No body will official know till it released, imo there’s way too much speculation.

yeah i dont think its ugly… i mean, people don’t usually just LOVE cars look when its first introduced… it grows on you.

i bet back in the day people thought r34’s were ugly too when they first hit the streets

and 11.7 isn’t that insane, stock z06 have hit 11.9

I like the look, reminds me of a DB9 but to each their own.

no actually according to magazine specs the stock z06 runs a 10.6.

i also thought it sorta looks like a db9 as well
looks good in my opinion.

haha… now that you mention it. It really does.

That’ll work.

haha… now that you mention it. It really does.[/quote]

nah…it def looks more like a celica. i hate it.

lol wow it does look more like a Celica than a db9. I think its going to be the same as the last Subaru Impreza when it first came out i hated it now i think its one of the better looking Subaru’s but then again it might be that Subaru just keeps on coming out with progressively worse looking cars and are standards just keep dropping lol.

i still think it looks ballin
i hate every new design that comes out
it takes time to grow on me
the more i think of the chassis and powertrain, along with the initial design, the more i get used to it. just be glad nissan is not abandoning it
gtr ftw!

Would be cooler if it had an RB26… or any straight 6 for that matter.

It looks ok, probably one of those cars that look 100x better in person.

Besides maybe the headlights, it doesn’t look anything like a Celica :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it looks sexy, and I love it.
