Hey everybody, I’ve been watching this site for a while and finally joined.
My current ride is a 2007 Impala SS which I’ve had since June when I traded in a Tiburon. This is the first domestic car I’ve owned as well as my first V8. Still stock for now.
I like pretty much every kind of car out there, import or domestic, old school or new, Enzo or rat rod, whatever. I’ve also been a race fan for as long as I can remember.
I’ll leave you with a couple of boring driveway pics for your viewing pleasure.
It’s a great motor, I have no complaints at all. There’s a lot of torque and it has a nice rumble to it. It’s civilized enough for a daily driver but if you stomp it with the traction control off you’ll be leaving a nice set of strips on the road. Some people complain about the torque steer but I don’t think it’s an issue at all once you get used to the motor.
Fuel mileage isn’t great but it isn’t bad either. I didn’t buy this car expecting it to be a Prius so I’m not complaining.
I’d definitely look into the GXP if I was you. These LS4 cars run up there very close to the Charger, plus you get the advantage of FWD for the winter and the fact that 99% of the people on the road have no idea what you’ve got.
