they say that block can be shaved to save weight…u can cut weight off it where its not needed.
It’s still a Fe block, even if you shave it to the same weight as say a Fe 6.0 truck block it’s much heavier than a L92 block.

true… it’s nice to keep aluminum and thats what i’d do.
i personally dont see the advantage of this new block unless you want a rare super big inch n/a combo or some crazy big inch LSx motor with nitrious/boost just to say i have a 482 ls1 or something.
blocks right now are more than capable of handling anything the vast majority of car ppl want. unless your shootin for over like 800-1000whp, i’d still stick to regular blocks, or 6.0 liter block. most of us would be happy with 10 second cars…street driven… which for alot Fbodies thats only 500-600whp
