Hello everyone, I thought I should introduce myself since I am new to this forum. I’ve bought a couple of things from a couple of members here and have nothing but good experience. I wanted to get a 240sx for my first car 6 years ago but ended up buying a z31 and haven’t looked back ever since then. So, why the hell am I on a 240sx forum when I have a z31? It’s very simple actually, The coilovers on my z31 is from an s13, rear subframe from an s14 (q45 rear end) with Bing adjustable arms and many more things can interchange.
Here are a few pictures because I know pictures take a thread from “meh” to “JDM TYTE YO!!” lol
You can see the cut tubes in the background
A video my friend made while installing the engine.
I’ll probably end up being a lurker checking out the nice builds and gathering as much info as I can.
Thank you guys for the welcome. One of the reason why I love having a z31 is because of how rare they are in this area in good shape, let a lone one that’ll make over 500hp and the fact you have to pretty much make EVERYTHING work since there is no aftermarket backing. My goal for the summer is getting the subframe installed and get it running and hopefully have a z31/z32 30A tranny + custom driveshaft installed.
Every year I tell myself 2 more years and it’ll be done :meh:
P.S. Maybe a mod can move this to the build section. I didn’t think of putting this in the build section.
Isn’t it fun making parts work on your car that were never meant to? I tell people all the different parts that I’m installing and they assume that it all magically fit with no fabrication lol.
I want to see the subframe in the car too! I’m going to build it to the point where all I’d need to do is bolt it up. I’ll hopefully have my FD rx7 rad/fan and intercooler (v-mount) by the first week of may.
edit: I just realized you have to be a supporting member to create a build thread. I gotta get on that.
