RX8’s are nice cars, but they are slow as balls. I really like the styling (and thats saying something. most of the regulars here will vouch for the fact that I hate every car’s styling on thne last 8 years). It needs a TT option. Until then I wont pay too much attention to it.

I think the RX8 is a beautiful car… but its grossly underpowered, and was rated as “let down sports coupe” of the year.
I have driven them before, and theyre awesome with their interiors, and comfort. But it’s definitely not a performer.
Power and how fast you go doesnt make it bad
My truck made 2005 sport truck of the year it beat out the New SRT10 ram
The SRT would kill it in power and straight line…but the X would kill it in the bends and all out fun factor. Read up the articale on www.sporttruck.com There is alot more to how good a car is then just how fast it goes.
A good sports car should be an all around performer and fun to drive.
I think the 8 would be…A god all round car would be decently quick doesnt have to be super fast cause you cant do that all the time, should be able to take the bends nicely, drive well, good braking and all around just fun to be in. Power and straight line doesnt make a car good
a ferrari 355 has a 3.8 v8 and that thing buts out TONS of power and car runs in the 12’s
i think he was talking about the numbers mazda initially gave it to “hype” it up to everyone, and when it was acctually produced, ythe numbers werent even close
Overrated from the factory or not, they’re quite quick for the 180whp they seem to put down on the dyno. A 3100lb car shouldn’t pull 96mph trap speeds with only 180whp, that’s more like 200-210whp, isin’t it?

thats what Xrunner supposed to run in the 1/4 and its 3700lbs and puts down 210hp to the wheels…but also puts down like 235lb trq to the wheels.
