i have the same compressor as u and i think its pretty loud and annoying. we are building an enclosure for ours, im sick of hearing it. lol

How do you have it mounted? I can be standing right in front of mine and still talk to someone a few ft away. It is much quieter then many I have heard. Lastly you are a huge pssy.

My harbor freight jack is the best one I have used around. It’s the only one that hasn’t failed on me, it’s lightweight aluminum, and perfect size.

So far its working out great, 4 pumps and the tire is off the ground!

what the hell. you guys dont have ANY snow down there?

edit: nvm, just saw in your other thread that you’re in kansas now lol.having ny plates still confused me

Yea we did get some snow! Surprisingly its way cheaper to keep the cars insured in NYS.

Question: Looking into buying a engine crane… is there any reason I would need the 2 ton vs the 1 ton? 209.99 vs. 169.99

I mean for 40 more I’m thinking two ton

I gotta take you shopping… get you a few Joose, and cut you LOOSE.

HAHAHA I don’t know how I get the deals I do on some things. Lowballing and persistence. In for Joose.

Bahaha Joose. Got a walk in cooler full of that shit.

That’s how a garage should be, simple and lots of space.

Can haz?

Also I too like the simple setup garage. I have bought so many toos and garage stuff but really lacked the proper planning and such to make it all user friendly. I plan to resolve this starting tomorrow!!!

Andy’s Quick Stop lol.

Yeah all the clutter just kills motivation, at least for me it does. I need to do the same.

Omg thats my name! Must be a sign.

Not to thread steal but I need a bench like shreks. Where can I get said bench?

Exciting day! I went to Home depot to buy a salamander and bought an air compressor instead. I’ll tell the whole story since I don’t have pix yet. The wife bought me a electric heater for x-mas but its a 240 volt. Now I do have a 220 in the garage but the plug on the heater has one prong perpendicular to the other and the 220 is the 3 prong triangle type. We had some nice weather a week ago so I ripped the Evo apart and now its way to cold to go get it back together. That’s why I was going to get the salamander. So quick question - If the amp rating on my electric heater is the same as the breaker rating can I make a conversion harness to go from one plug type to the other?
Well Home depot was sold out of salamanders so I walked over to the air compressor area. I wanted to make sure it only required a 110 outlet. Looking at the 30 gal, 2 HP ones I notice one had a price of 239 and the identical one next to it said 379. I looked them both over trying to find the difference. I thought maybe one was a return or had something wrong with it… I had to break man code and ask for help… Lady in charge of that deportment comes over and I ask. Turns out it was just miss labeld… That was my opening for opportunity! Had the Scoobie so I couldn’t bring it home today… Pix tomorrow!

You know, the first pictures I saw you posted made it look like an oversized one car garage, but now that you’ve taken some pictures of the whole thing, that’s an awesome space you have there ( apparently missed page #2 when you posted it empty)

Is the attic space just for storage? If so, and the compressor is loud, you could always install it up there on a remote switch, and then run the air lines down to where you need them in the garage. I’d probably have a connection by each bench and one by the front door opposite the walk in door. That way you need at most a 20 ft hose, and can use it for multiple things.

Good idea, it doesn’t really take up room and its really not that loud IMO… Defiantly something to think about!
