Honestly, get a set of winterforce tires from innovative for 350 bucks or w/e they cost. There is a big size that fits and is cheap. You will not regret it.
I know I should. I’ve always had some kind of winter tire, blizzak, graspic.
:tup:do work
i’m so glad prices keep coming down on these things…i really really want one…
You’re FIRED, don’t you know those cars ruined America :mamoru:
see, i feel like the opposite is true. Clean stock, low miles examples are still frequently over 20, even for one that’s 5 years old.
Nice! I miss my STi a-lot. Crazy grip-launch-mid-corner-diff-fun. <- only way I can describe the way it would react mid corner and mashing the thottle. Rain made it x2 fun.
I just ran my res half full the one winter I ran it. No issues.
brand new though, out the door, with a few options, aren’t you looking at close to $40K for these?
$21K for a car like that, with 25K miles, seems like a steal to me…
Nice car,i don’t think i would drive it in the winter though, its to nice for that
:lol: I would never live it down.
the new ones…YES
04, the msrp was around $32k with no options avail.
I would have loved to get the dark grey 08 sti next to it, but yeah $38k sticker price. I did notice they had a 0% sign on the windshield, sweetening the deal.
If I bought new I would get the evo x though.
I don’t have ANY mods planned. The plan is to dd this for 4-5 years and hopefully sell for $5-8k with about 60k miles. This car doesn’t seem to ever have been modded. I’d like to mabey get an acessport, and probably summer rubber. Thats it.
Thanks for the comments, I think the price was “fair” for both the dealership and me. I could have gotten modded sti’s for cheaper from private sellers, but you’re always taking more of a gamble.
I was out the door for $31K on my 04.
yea seriously, i just bought my 04 this past year and it ran me $22k, everyone i talked to that didnt know what an sti was thought i was insaine to put out that much cash for a 5 year old car
gratz on the car, i’m sure you’ll love it for the winter…never had that much fun in my life driving in the snow
IMO you dont need snow tires, i’ve driven one winter on blizzaks and the rest on normal summer tires…have never had a problem, the grip is there
are you serious?
AWD or not, summer tires WILL NOT move in anything more than .5 inches of snow.
What happens when he goes around a turn at 20mph on his summer tires and the car doesn’t grip because of some slush on the road and he goes into an on coming car?
nice pickup
The only time my Azenis ever saw snow was during the October storm and believe me THERE WAS NO GRIP lol
The car came with kumho asx all seasons. Not the best for the winter though, especially when I’m used to the speed6 and blizzaks, that car was unstoppable in the snow.
Wow that was quick. I guess you liked it. I trust Jeff took care of you?
