New to the group!

Hey all!

Just joined the group since just bought a brand new 2009 Altima Coupe 3.5 SE!!!

I am ready to start work on it, from interior to exterior.

Can anyone advise as to where to start off on this site with regards to Altima Coupes???

Thanks!!!

I’m not too sure if we have many vendors who specialise in Altimas, however, if you check out ondergound-design (google it) and want anything there I have an account and can drop ship items to you a few below list.

Check out Stillen, they have some nice exterior products. Morningside Nissan orders stillen products. Im sure there is a bunch of local guys out there that can acquire Stillen products too…

Stillen products are nice but they rip you on shipping to canada

Hmmm, this should get me started.

I like stillen but seems like too many people who own altima’s have parts by them. I want something more unique… if possible.

But on that note, I’m thinking of getting the Borla Catback exhaust. Any comments?

There is Racingline Performance. http://www.racinglineperformance.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=73&osCsid=00e519593e94bed6e672e674311970b1. And yea I agree about stillen shipping.

im looking to tint my windows first, any1 know any good place in mississauga? Whats the darkest I can go?

Technically there is no rule of level your allowed. The Tint issue relates to Police Officer Safety when being pulled over. The Officer should be able to see you clearly from outside of the car (Yes there are variables such as night time and rain etc, but it really is up to the Officers Discretion). Stay between 35% lightest and 15% darkest. Try and get someone who does work for dealers.

Any ideas on any good places to get that done and not too expensive yet good quality? How much you think id be looking at?

A friend refered TINT KING. 416 255 5298. 1541 The Queensway Etobicoke, ON, M8Z 1T8. Tints are around $200.

tint king looks great!

quick question, how can i removed the nissan logos on the trunk lid, whats the easiest way, i hear orange glo takes it off well.

Orange glow would take the glue residue off but it will take a while. You just have to gently take the plastic logo off. I personally like the logo’s…

Just like everyone else said, Stillen is great for parts but really rips you off for shipping. One thing you can do is get a PO BOX in buffalo and get it shipped there and just go there and pick it up. You will save yourself a lot of money!

like crow said, there is really no law on the tints but they say as long as they can see if the driver is wearing a seat belt, then you are pretty safe. I have an 06 altima and I got 35% in the front and 20% in the rear and back.

I got mine done from a guy that was refered to me from the protege forum. He does his jobs at a window repair shop that was near airport i belive… I got mine done last year and he did it for pretty cheap i guess… $160 for whole thing which isnt bad considering the altimas windowns are bigger than most cars. He uses sun protect film and I actually did it in the winter which is usually not recommeneded but I got no bubbles or peeling or anything!

You can reach him at… 416-566-0856 (I hope thats still his number)
Ask for Brad Felton

Hmmm, do you know if your tint was UV protected, lifetime warranty and all that good stuff…?

yep. its UV protected and he said I got a lifetime warrenty on it.

I would look into that deal. Sounds good.

It really is! Btw, where can I upload pics of my car to show you guys my process???

Also, with my old car, my fullly customized sound system which i made myself was stolen out of my car right in front of my house, i was devastated, those damn %@$^&($)(!#@ lol… so now i cant just transfer and will make new sound system.

I am looking to get 2 Alpine 1500W Mobile Subwoofer SWR1222D here are the specs:

• Type-R Series Mobile Subwoofer

• Frequency Response: 24Hz – 500Hz

• Mirrored Progressive Nomex Spiders with Reinforced Layer

• Integrated Tinsel Leads

• Multi-Stage Thermal Management System

• HAMR Surround and Concealed Mount Gasket

• Aluminum Airflow Motor Cover

• Insert Push Terminals with One-sided Layout

• Power Handling Capacity (Peak): 1500W

• Power Handling Capacity (RMS): 500W

What would be the kind of amp, prefarebly from alpine, that would best fit these two subs, i know you need to have an amp that’s wattage is closest to the power output of the 2 subs, am I correct?

I am used to having a system that was TOP quality and pounds like no tomorrow so I am looking for something even better with these 2 subs. Any info is appreciated. Also, I am looking to initially run it through my stock deck, i Hear i need a converter for the cables from the deck to hook up to something and this hooks up to RCA cables, what is this called and where can i Get this?

wow, all i know is that Alpine is the shi+ good luck finding all that stuff. should sound nice.

Thanks for all the help guys, I sitll got more questions. Is there any other place on this site where it would be best for me to discuss this???

Where can I get headlight/tailight overlays? I need durability, (stupid canada winters) and also, how dark can I go???

Also, does any1 know where I can inquire about getting the chrome mustahce on the altima coupe painted the color of the car, i think that the worst part of the front.

I m with you with the headlight/tailight tinted overlay, I was thinking about it but not sure where to get it.
