So I got an alternator in the mail to replace my burnt out piece of crap.
I was absolutely delighted when I got home and there were two lovely brown boxes waiting for me. I opened them up and delighted when I pulled out OEM pieces to replace my Alternator cooling ducts and various other Items
I was ecstatic about putting a new piece of amazing machinery in my car.
But alas. There was a problem… now maybe I am being over dramatic about this (its mostly for show).
I did not at first notice it. Not until I picked up the box that I thought was empty. I was to use it to get my core charge back. But I heard a rattle and I looked in the box. It took me a moment and then it hit me. I looked again and it struck me in the face hard…
Now the question is. Should I be treating this as dramatically as I am?
Should I indeed return it?
Or screw it and drop the thing in and get back to the drivers car that I love to be behind the wheel of?
Now I am going as far as to replace all the screws that I have used on all those plastic pieces that I took out with new ones. Cause if something goes wrong. I want to be sure it wasn’t cause of an over site of mine.
Stuff like that would piss me off too. If its in a spot you won’t really notice then fuck it. Otherwise make them overnight you a new one and get pissed.
I’d almost have to say get it replaced. What’s not to say it fails a short while later. You send it in for warranty work, and then they void it because they think you damaged it. By dropping it or something stupid.
