new V8 powered RWD tiburon spied...

Looks good. I like they styling and the possibility of V8 RWD. I would probably never buy one though.

Yes and no…being a designer is great! We get to draw and build models all day long:) The part that sucks is being at the mercy up the higher-ups and marketers who aren’t trained in design and think they should make the final decision. Take for example the Aztek or the Sebring…both of those vehicles were designed by talented guys, I’ve seen concept sketches of each one and they looked hot. Had the original design language made it to production in the way the designer envisioned, these two vehicles wouldn’t be getting the negative press they’ve gotten. So, that’s the worst part about it, your name being tarnished due to decisions of others…otherwise, all is well.

if i can snag a turbo 4cyl one for under 20 i may have found a new project

I am just happy to see more straying away from FWD.

BTW, LXTASY where do you go to school for auto design?

I think parked next to the mustang, the mustang looks dated

I went to the Cleveland Institute of Art. There’s really only 3 other schools that companies actively hire auto designers from; Art Center (Pasadena,CA), University of Cinncinnati, and the College for Creative Studies (Detroit).

that motor is a good platform, and i can build turbo kits etc for it cheap, i may pick one up and just make a kit for it to resell, who knows

Damn, that looks really good! I’m shocked!

Not a bad looking car. As for making the mustang look like a bunch of crap…I agree the styling on that mustang isn’t the greatest but it looks like a ponycar. The other one looks like a stretched out Acura or Lexus.

Tough part about a Japanese Ponycar is it’ll be universally maligned by people on both sides of the ricer/dumbestic fence.

I kind of… like it?

I like it and as much as i would like the 14 turbo, i would have to go with the v8. I would be way to tempted to mod the 14 turbo and there goes my 10yr warranty.

Hyundai has really come a long way in the past 5 years. A rwd v8 tib would be pretty sweet.

I didn’t read through this entire thread, but what will this pig weigh?
