So I just bought a set of wheels and tires from wheelmax.com, and first off I would just like to say that it wasn’t a pleasant experience. They didn’t have the tires I ordered, so they had to give me a cheap set of nexen tires (I took then because at this point anything is better than my noisy crappy snow tires) Then they haven’t transfered the balance from the khumo to nexen swap into my account yet, And lastly they sent it 1 wheel one day three the next day. All around pain in the ass. So here is my current problem. The wheels that I bought have enough room to screw the lugnuts onto the lug studs, but I can’t get the lugnut wrench into the hole to tighten them all the way. Should I get smaller lugnuts and use a ratchet or go the crazy route and try to bore the holes out to a larger diameter? There is actually a guy on this forum that was selling an ef9 with the same exel race wheels on it. If that guy is reading this, please let me know of any ideas. Thanks guys!
yes u need to gets new nuts!
You absolutely must get new lugnuts. Aftermarket wheels use a tapered lug seat, your OEM wheels use a rounded acorn-style nut. Do not run acorn nuts on tapered wheels…you’ll pretty much ruin them
x2. The pitch is wrong. It’ll crush em.
