new wheels

not sure what I want to do yet, but my old wheels got some scuffs on the one side from a previous owner… so I was thinking about either

A. Painting them black, 20 bucks in paint
B. Powder coating them black 40 a wheel
C. selling them and getting these, 150 a wheel…

what do ya think?

for those that never saw my car before

what size are the new ones you want? i think if you plan to powdercoat your old ones, i would go with a gunmetal and not black. black looks too much like honda’s or ghetto kids who took their hub caps off

new ones are 17" as well… not sure if I want to do that again either, might go to a 16"… with my suspension and the 17s on it makes for a quite annoying and uncomfortable ride…

see I was thinking like a slate gray or either a gloss black…

BBS = to much money for wheels right now…

the new wheels are pretty cool but its winter time krylon em black there will be cooler wheels out this summer

Look at any Borbet wheels? They are Euro-spec and reasonably priced.

i wouldn’t roll fliks, i’d just paint yours… however there was a kid selling those exact rims a month or so back… from pittsburgh.

do those wheels say FUK??lol jk

i’d get the wheels.

i have winter wheels, aka steelies… so its no big deal for the winter… i have my current wheels for sale right now so we will see what happens

the look i am going for I want to go for the deep dish look. I feel I want to have something with a lip to give the car at first look a lil more depth… i have never scene flik on a MK3 jetta, before so i was tempted to do that… borbets are nice but IMO a lil played out…

yeah, and what he would pay for rims, he could be making a ton more hp, and still have $5 left over to pay your mom for the rimjob he got last night.
