Is it black?

:shifty

there was a guy at the lots a few years ago when people still went to hoffman’s that was a fuckin sleeper and a HALF…

exhaust my ass good sir, exhaust my ass :shifty

Either way, Welcome!

nah ben its a different one it has a hole in the front bumper last i looked at it and its silver and with a 0-60 in 10.42 i dont think the tires are breaking loose at 70 :crackup

The one I’m talking about was definitely black and definitely lost traction in third at 70…srs bzns.

yeah its silver. the bumper shall be fixed as of tuesday. i hit a fucking coyote on my way home from skiing! :wtf…

but yeah, exaust :nono
haha it was a quick cheap thing to add on but i got a couple things to do, and yeah its actualy pretty quick, its 2L 16v pushing like 135hp buttttt mazdas weight like 12lbs so its ok for basicaly boner stock.

well not to be a dick but the only way thats gonna be fast is f.i, or i know people that have rx7’s swap small blocks in them because you cant do much to make it fast without loads of $$$ pretty easily if you want good cheap power you could do that

word word, its still my everyday and a swap is outta the question. my motor only has 55000 so its still lowish miles for a 03.but i do wanna make it so i can just have some fun in her and at least win a couple races…

haha o and 0-60 is 20 seconds assholeee :banana :lol

What? a small block in an RX7 is completely different than anything in a Protege.

Granted, turbo is the only way to get this thing moving. Your right about that.

yeah i dont know anything about mazda’s but i figured if there was a kit for one car they would make it for others

we have been meeting at exit 8 park and ride.

ill swing up one of these nights when i dont hit the Captain when i get home :nod

Northway right?
and off the exit is it a left or a right?
i’ll prolly come up maybe this friday night

damn, you hit a coyote??? you fixing it yourself?

nah insurance hooked me up, i got new fog lights, new bumper, new wheel well cover and a couple other things.

this is a used car from texas and i think the lady before me drove it like a granny. i want to reset the ECU, i know you unplug the battery and press the brake a couple of times, but what should i do after that? and noob question… :nono can this actually have a negative effect in the long run?

resetting the ecu wont do anything

bullshit it won’t…

Just unplug the battery for like 15 minutes and plug it back in, idk much about mazda ecu’s but I know many ecu’s ‘learn’ how they’re driven on average based on ltft’s and stft’s (long term fuel trims/short term fuel trims)…I may be wrong about that last part so I wouldn’t take it to heart, and correct me if I’m wrong.
`

well in that case he would have to really beat on it after resetting the ecu for it to “learn a new driving style”

or just drive it how he drives it

exactly.
the whole resetting thing will only do good for me i suppose.
because everyone has a different drive style, you want the car to match it…
