Hey whats up guys. I just got a 03 protege 5, too bad its not mazdaspeed but w.e. Just put an exaust onto her and plan on doing some other work to her. but i just wanted to post up just so ya’ll kinda know me. j/w does everyone still meet at that wendys or did ya get kicked out yet? and yes, i’ll race any cars that are kinda even. i like to drive and dont wanna be that pussy that shows up just for people to look at his car.
nah ben its a different one it has a hole in the front bumper last i looked at it and its silver and with a 0-60 in 10.42 i dont think the tires are breaking loose at 70 :crackup
yeah its silver. the bumper shall be fixed as of tuesday. i hit a fucking coyote on my way home from skiing! :wtf…
but yeah, exaust :nono
haha it was a quick cheap thing to add on but i got a couple things to do, and yeah its actualy pretty quick, its 2L 16v pushing like 135hp buttttt mazdas weight like 12lbs so its ok for basicaly boner stock.
well not to be a dick but the only way thats gonna be fast is f.i, or i know people that have rx7’s swap small blocks in them because you cant do much to make it fast without loads of $$$ pretty easily if you want good cheap power you could do that
word word, its still my everyday and a swap is outta the question. my motor only has 55000 so its still lowish miles for a 03.but i do wanna make it so i can just have some fun in her and at least win a couple races…
haha o and 0-60 is 20 seconds assholeee :banana :lol
this is a used car from texas and i think the lady before me drove it like a granny. i want to reset the ECU, i know you unplug the battery and press the brake a couple of times, but what should i do after that? and noob question… :nono can this actually have a negative effect in the long run?
Just unplug the battery for like 15 minutes and plug it back in, idk much about mazda ecu’s but I know many ecu’s ‘learn’ how they’re driven on average based on ltft’s and stft’s (long term fuel trims/short term fuel trims)…I may be wrong about that last part so I wouldn’t take it to heart, and correct me if I’m wrong.
