Yeah, this is definitely the hardest blasting job I have done yet. BMW sure coated these things good! I had to make quite the contraption to get under the car since it was not mounted on a rotisserie.

i worked 72 hours last week. I probably wont work on the car much until it gets cold out. I don’t intend to spend my summer working on a car when i have 3 other cars, a bike and a jetski. Though i intend to have the bodywork done by september first.

The cage took 4 weeks instead of the one week i was promised.

The blasting took almost 2 months, instead of the one week estimate.

By then it was the middle of summer. I’m busy at work, and my free time i d have, i don’t want to spend in the shop. But i have hardly lost interest, i think about the car like every day.

 Spoken like a true engineer. I can’t wait to see this thing when it’s done. Truly going to be a work of art.

christ man the kid worked all weekend. give him a break, jesus…

its only nice like 3 months out of the year, he has better things to do with that time. why is everyone talking shit and doubting him? chill the fuck out.

Jackoffs.
16 hours days FTW.

fuck that. newman is a bitch for not doing things so other people can read about them. its way easier and cooler to say “i know a guy that did…” rather than doing something yourself

I’d wanna wait until the winter too if I had that sweet sweet jetski

yea, there’s no way in hell i’d be working on this thing right now if i had some of those toys.

why did it take so long getting soda blasted? then wasn’t completed being soda blasted?

I can answer that for you. I tried soda, then sand on the bottom they didn’t do much with this stuff at all. I then tried to use some solvents but they would not help much either. I guess we are not quite set up for removing this stuff. I have stripped many, many cars inside and out without any problems. I could do it but at this rate it would take like 8 hours. I already have over 4 hours into it. If anyone has any suggestions please share…
This stuff has been nothing but a headache.
