UPDATE - June 3
Ok guys, one week away.
the Saturday night will be drag racing at TMP, i called them, its $30 for the test and tune. If some one wants to bring a tent that would be sweet.
as for the time, i am thiniking evening ish… any crews heading up find a leader, preferably someone who has me on msn, to coordinate time. i would think 8pm - 9pm is a likely arrival time… late i know… sorry.
SUNDAY - MENU
Pricing to follow, there is a variable in it.
Egg Rolls (hand made on-site)
Chicken Balls (hand made on-site)
Pizza rolls
Chicken Fried Rice
Beef and Brocolli stir-fry on Chow Mein Noodles ( i live on this stuff )
Szechuan Delight (spicy)
Honey Chicken wings
unlimited beverages - no alcohol at all
PRICING:
here is the variable:
last year it was $18… it MIGHT stay at that because we are trying to coordinate a charitable donation on behalf of SON, Bings.ca, Cosy Restaurant, in which case $2 - $3 from every person would go to the charity - like Red Cross or Heart and Stroke
if we cannot arrange the donation then the price of the dinner will be reduced from last years price as per some of the coments i was hearing last year.
I feel strongly about the charitible donation and will be putting down a guarantee on the amount and filling in any difference myself.
In light of some of the stories in the news about street racing and all that BS i think it would be a huge gesture to prove that we are responsible, educated and ambitious young men, not face-less street racers.
That is why we are drag racing the night before, to get all of that crap out of our system so we can behave on the sunday…lol…sneaky
i would appreciate it if there is NO burn out competition in the parking lot this year… not that i got in any trouble, i just think we should behave.
the cruise to the falls will be mild… maps will be given out with detailed directions and explanation of some of the sights along the way.
if you guys didnt know, the cruise we took last year passes many historical sights, perhaps we could take notice of those and avoid another accident.
the cruise will pass the 1st golf course even in Canada, old Niagara-on-the-Lake, the niagara parkway, Niagara Falls itself, the new Fallsview Casino and avoiding alot of the construction that is always going on at certain areas.
The cameras will be rolling, the police will be fully aware and off duty officers will be in attendance for the whole thing
end update
pretty much the same as last year
the banner is up the details are open-ended but here goes.
June 10th is a saturday.
i propose that we all hit up the drag strip for some times and then roll out to where-ever…
Saturday will be more of a free for all, i am sure there will be several groups of cars from all over the province so there will be lots to do.
there are sure to be many guys up from the US from all over NY and Ohio so it is likely that we’ll hit up the rippers or something to that effect…lol
June 11th is the sunday
Cosy Restaurant
361 Lake st
St. Catharines, ON
L2N 4H5
Same as last year and the year before… if the weather is good you can expect this to be the biggest meet yet with alot of non-240sx crews showing up.
the menu and price are likely to be similar but we are working on including local charities… should this happen it will mean that everyone will be required to be on their best behaviour… no impromptu burn-out competition… even though i didnt get in any trouble last year for it…lol
the night will end as always, a nice legal cruise up through Niagara On The Lake, down the Niagara Parkway and up to No Frills to laugh at all the ricey cars that show up… its a good scene
Expect this to be a good one.
