this meet is getting nutty-big and becoming more of a super-car meet than a 240sx meet.
there are rumours of a few NSX’s showing up, one of them turbo charged, as well as several other exotics.
parking is becoming more and more limited every day.
please note that peoples with non-240sx non-sooper-cool cars will have to park next door, and it appears as though alot of people coming in unmodded 240sx’s might have to do the same.
there is likely going to be 60+ 240sx’s and 25 other types of cars present and room for maybe 35ish in the actual parking lot and room for another 25+ in the small gravel lot adjacent to the parking lot.
i will take pic and post them up soon so that people can get an idea of what this place looks like.
I hereby reserve the right to reserve the closest spot to the door, for myself (Cal)! After dinner I will be too fat and do not want to have to waddle too far.
Whether you have mod’s or not, ALL 240’s should have priority parking. After all, this is a SON’s meet NOT an nsx meet or car meet in general. Sure the other cars coming may be nice to look at and what not but still, we get the best spots first.
If we fill up the main lot, fine we’ll park a little farther but all other cars should for sure park furthest away.
as much as this is true there is no need to have stock or uninteresting cars in the parking lot while crazier cars are located around the corner.
this is true for a variety of reasons. the main reason being that having all the interesting cars in the main lot will keep the crowds where they should be.
as much as this is a 240sx meet it is also a car meet. alot of the guys that are coming out are coming to see cars, not just 240sx’s.
i personally want to see the skylines and NSX’s etc. and i would rather not have to walk to neighbouring lots to view them.
i am sure that no one here cares at all to see rusted stock s13’s, or a clean S13 with nothing but 17" wheels on it. this type of thing can be seen anyday of the week.
i am not trying to downplay the owners of these cars, we will have group shots and all that type of thing. but the lot is to display all the hottest import cars around. most of which will obviously be 240sx’s because they are the coolest car on earth…lol
cars like those owned by Sasha, GT Greg, Pavel, Farmer, Varun, Phil, Mike (bomex), myself, jesse, justin, adam, max, scotty, vincent, nathan etc. are the ones that people are going to want to know about.
people are going to want to ask questions about the modifications, how they like the mods, where they got the stuff, how much they paid, “can i sit in it”, how fast is it?, stuff like this.
this is also true of the nsx’s and skyline regardless of the stage of build.
for that reason these cars should be all be in the main section of the parking lot for everyone to easily view and discuss.
if you just bought a S13 and have nothing done to it, or have very basic mods it will be to you benefit to inquire about these cars to get advice and ideas for your own.
parking a stock S13 amongst these cars will do nothing for anyone really. we all know what a stock S13 is and dont need to ask any questions about it.
having the sharpest cars in the primary locations will be best for learning, discussing, viewing, and will make the meet look even more impressive from the street.
slated to be mostly sunny, partly cloudy with no rain between today and then. there is supposed to be light rain the day afterwards though. lets hope it stays that way:
