I never had Rob :tear:
didnt nintendo have a lifetime warranty on it?
I should get mine refurbished so i dont have to keep blowing in the games.
I miss nintendo.
I had over 150 games. God, looking back at $40 a game… my parents spent a fortune on me and my brother!
We also had ROB and all the other additional crap! LOL
My friends have one in the apartment downstairs. No Rob, but Mario 3 and Duck Hunt!
I still have the NES from when I was real little. It’s packed away, someplace. Works too.
I didn’t have ROB either…WTF I think he was rare…
I don’t know who started that blowing in the games crap. The problem is they used a arch-spring pin type slot. They lose their spingyiness over time, takes about 15 minutes or less to fix as it’s only an issue on front-loading nintendos and it will work good as new with a bit of use afterwards. Honestly I think I’ve only seen one that was truely broken. All the rest is just the shitty connector design really simple fix.
Hell just bring it by and I’ll fix it, and then hook it up to the projector afterwards for some life-size mario action. :tspry:
It was just a 90-day warranty. Blowing in the carts just makes it worse as it’s placing moisture on the contacts, and just speeds along the corrosion process with the copper contacts in most of the carts. Which with a worn slot will make it worse.
