My Z is Lipstick Red a match for the car in your pic.
I have an excellent, mechanic who is going to do the work but I wanted some more advice as to what to expect.
The car is amazing condition and was shipped from Arizona to Buffalo last week. I am very satisfied with it, but was not informed of the gnashing sound coming from the belt housing when the car is running, even a novice would conclude, “Timing Belt Tension Pulleys” which is what I thought, with a brief hope it might be my Power Steering unit"…Which also needs to be replace…Any advice on what manufacturers to buy from and which to stay away from?:gotme:

“Wow!, Thank you for such an information laden site” I searched all last night and found nothing so complete!..Any suggestions on what company to buy the parts from? or is dealer the best? Do other companies offer stronger parts?

If you go to www.twinturbo.net there is a FAQ section with many explanations of how to diagnose problems and perform many maint. items.

One of the best people to buy from is a guy names Coz. He owns www.czp.us

Give him a ring and he’ll recommend all the stuff you’ll need for the 60k

The only 2 places I buy parts from are CZP (the link above) and www.splparts.com

I’ve never had a problem with either of them and I’ve been buying from them for over 6 years now

Thank you again, I previewed the site and they offer an impressive assortment of options. Including shorter belts(does this increase horsepower??)
Thanks again,

eh…smaller/larger/whatever belts are normally options if you have some aftermarket pulleys of some sort just so they fit. i highly doubt a smaller belt on a stock parts would fit…because itd be too small lol…maybe im confused but thats my thoughts

The shorter belts won’t fit or help you if your car is still at factory spec.

The best mods are Intake (look for JWT POP Charger - you can get one for $100) exhaust and ECU. That’s a quick way to make your Z 400hp

If you do decide to get an ECU, don’t go with JWT. Check out www.ashspecz.com and order one from him. Much better and costs less.
