Not my first post but I guess I should play by the rules and say hi over here in the nOOb forum. I’ve seen a few other Euro car guys here so I don’t feel too out numbered by the Domestic crowd. As for my car, it’s a fairly tuned grocery getter.
Specs… hmm stock the car is a 2.7L V6 Bi-turbo, 250hp. My car is a “Stage 2” which means an ECU and cat-back upgrade. Lot’s of other mods including brakes, suspension, intercoolers, etc.
Thanks for the love ya’ll. The color is nice and it gets a lot of comments. Plus, it helps me fly under the radar. As for the one on McKnight Road, it was probably this guy who has an A4 with S4 side skirts and wheels. I’ve been mistaken for him before. I’m on McKnight often but I doubt that was me.
ABT, AMS, APR, GIAC - Different types of upgraded ECUs/chips.
Stage 1 = ECU
Stage 2 = ECU, cat-back
Stage 2+ = ECU, cat-back, downpipes (many types including gutted stockers called “piggie pipes”)
Stage 3 = All of the above plus K04 turbos (stock is K03).
K04s are found on the Audi RS4 and RS6. The RS4 was never imported to the states but it’s a 380hp wagon. Yes, wagon. The K03s on the S4 are known to blow so a lot of people move up to the K04s. The front bumper and grille on my car are OEM RS4 parts. Sort of cool. I’d love the K04s but that would kill my warranty.
Weather permitting I’ll make my first trip to PRP tomorrow night. I hope to run in the low 13’s. Not too bad for a fat grocery getter.
