going by the numbers that the skyline laid down, my STi would have beat him to the 1/8th mile stripe, but he would have trapped 3 mph faster. so thatd put him around a 12.1 - 12.2 1/4mile.

smokin went 13.2 @ 110.9 with the LS6… he went 13.6 @ 106 with the LS1… my car went 12.339 @ 111.3
What does your car (well, was your car) have to do with how fast a Vette and a GTR should run down the track?

if you watch the video, it takes place at a 1/8th mile track…
they said the vette with the 100 shot went 8.22 @ 88…that doesnt make sence seeing as my SS went 8.7 @ 90 and the GTR had the same 1/8th times as travis’s STI which makes it a low 12 second car in that video…their supposed to be much faster then that.

were you born an asshole or did you take shift lessons? my time is/was good enough for top 10 fastest imports on this site… cant say as much about anything you’ve built. cant say as i care. i made a comment in regards to how “godzilla” (the skyline) is supposed to be 480hp and demolish most things on the street… well… this 480hp overpriced pile of shit went slower than my car in the 1/8th mile as far as ET is concerned and only trapped ~3mph faster… which im ESTIMATING would make it a tenth or 2 faster in the 1/4. I’m sorry that I don’t build anything to go fast in a straight line for 12 seconds. I set my (now sold) car up to be fun in the turns. And you know what, the GTR was designed the same way. It was not designed to be a drag machine.
yet, they incorporated LAUNCH CONTROL?! and my STi would handle fantastic around turns too… awd kinda helped that aspect. go back to the drawing board.
I guess people should stop drag racing them then because they are really starting to look over rated.
the launch control is designed to function like an F1 car. for racing on a non rolling start grid… its not made for running down the 1/4 mile or 1/8th mile lap after lap.
I agree with you there. The majority of people who seem to purchase the GTR only car about going fast in a straight line. There’s not problem with wanting to do that, but the GTR is not the car to buy if that is what you want to do. As far as the video, I thought it looked like the two of them were babying the cars.
AWD is not the end all be all of cornering. Look up old car and drivers (or maybe it was Motor Trend?). The Honda Prelude was in the top ten handling cars for several years. And that is a FWD car.
