Hey Joelster, Yeah it was a good time Sunday and your car is definately running good (for an lt1). Now that that this season is just about done its time to start thinking about what to do to the car over the winter, i have to fine tune some stuff but then im thinking fogger.

No drama…Im just interested to see what Joelster ended up running…

What is the difference that the LT1’s had a cam?
I love when people point out obvious reasons why other people’s cars are faster than theirs (Ex: becuase they have more aftermarket parts).
Good cams only cost a few hundred bucks - & a little valve train work if you want a big cam.
It is common knowledge that stock LS1’s are faster than stock LT1’s. So doesn’t it make sense that you would need to put more parts onto an LT1 to be as fast as an LS1 all else equal? :bloated:
Then either his car is much lighter than yours, and/or has much higher gearing, and/or cuts much lower 60’ ft. times, and/or has quite a few more bolt-ons than you.
I’m trying to point out that there are many other things besides the motor that make cars “fast” at the track.
My car is a good example. It traps 123 MPH at the track. Some cars set-up for the track are able to hit high 10’s at that trap speed (your car might even do that with that stall speed and suspension work).
But I ran 12.20’s & 12.30’s cause my car is not currently set-up for the track and I didn’t feel like blowing out my crappy 10 bolt launching a 6-speed hard
And I was trying to point out that there is no way that an LT1 will beat and LS1 with everything else being equal. Unless the LS1 has a plug wire off or something.
