NYIRP for MOMS Invitational 10/21

How did you run?

.

.

sherm alread Im’d me, asking. joelster went like 12.08 its only a LT1 remeber.

That sucks…I figured he would go at least 11.8…

i could have swore i saw joelster hit a high 11 at the end of the day? maybe it was another car exactly like his.

Im just waiting for him to post so I can dis prove his Lancaster -> NYI theory and his 1/8th -> 1/4 calculator theory…

I donno look at sherms sig?

there was more them 1 LT1 guy on the page going faster then sherm. LOLZ

I know there was…Except they both have a cam or heads/cam :frowning: everyone on this page went faster then my car seeing how its sitting broken ftw.

No drama…Im just interested to see what Joelster ended up running…

cool the MOMS pics are up.:headbang:

ya it was a great day, Bighands broke i believe. Didnt see joelster car there, but again there was like 300 cars. blkuss6 your car leaves nasty. track was nice with all the big tired cars. http://www.momsracing.com/07/10-21-2007/html/101B5540.html

Best I did was 10.7. Actually it was the only full pass I made.

We put a short shifter in the car and i think it needs to be adjusted some cuz I kept getting locked out of gears…Plus my driving wasnt up to par.

Im dissapointed.

On the last pass I just shifted slowly just to get down the track once…

What is the difference that the LT1’s had a cam?

I love when people point out obvious reasons why other people’s cars are faster than theirs (Ex: becuase they have more aftermarket parts).

Good cams only cost a few hundred bucks - & a little valve train work if you want a big cam.

It is common knowledge that stock LS1’s are faster than stock LT1’s. So doesn’t it make sense that you would need to put more parts onto an LT1 to be as fast as an LS1 all else equal? :bloated:

Actually not really…Im talking to someone on cz28.com who has a bolt on LT1 who runs quicker then me…

Then either his car is much lighter than yours, and/or has much higher gearing, and/or cuts much lower 60’ ft. times, and/or has quite a few more bolt-ons than you.

I’m trying to point out that there are many other things besides the motor that make cars “fast” at the track.

My car is a good example. It traps 123 MPH at the track. Some cars set-up for the track are able to hit high 10’s at that trap speed (your car might even do that with that stall speed and suspension work).

But I ran 12.20’s & 12.30’s cause my car is not currently set-up for the track and I didn’t feel like blowing out my crappy 10 bolt launching a 6-speed hard

Congrats? This thread is about a track event…and people who are interested in going fast at the track…

Yes I realize that.

And I was trying to point out that there is no way that an LT1 will beat and LS1 with everything else being equal. Unless the LS1 has a plug wire off or something.

I think its the 2nd fastest bolt on LT1 in the country but still…Doing more with less ftw…

Ya theres no doubt thats a good time for a bolt on LT1

But what are the fastest bolt on LS1’s running? I think low 10s?

10.8 I belive

^^ exactly my point
