NYSpeed Helper! vBulletin, MySQL, PHP, etc.

Figured I’d put this here so more people would see it.

We’re looking for someone to assist tpgsr on the code side of things with the forum network. There are some issues that need to be addressed, but none of us really have the time at the moment to spend chasing them down / trouble shooting.

If you’d like to help, and you have experience with vBulletin, MySQL & PHP send tpgsr & myself a PM!

… you’ll get a cool colored name too! :wiggle:

Colored name…racism is a mofo these days…

:wiggle:

Like I mentioned before I’m a n00b with PHP and MYSQL and I guess Vbulletin. I do have experience in other website coding and have used a few other forums including Simple Machines Forums which is PHP.

If you get desperate and just want a second set of eyes, I’d be willing to check it out. Willing to meet somewhere and go over stuff as well.

vBul is pretty simple not to mention there are a bunch of public troubleshooting forums and most issues have been hashed out.

PHP/MySQL is easy to learn

messing with other people’s code = teh suck

I’d like to learn it.

Isn’t everything commented in code on what’s what?

lol, Mike’s done a good job of commenting. We are using some code that is taken from other sources, but we’re not looking to mess with core stuff at the moment.

It seems like everything NYSpeed has is just integrated other modules/pieces of code I highly doubt this is a intensive PHP coding job

Exactly. Right now it’s more about the time than the difficulty.

I’d be more than happy to help… what problems/concerns might you be experiencing??

oh please god someone who is awesome take this on…
