Yeah, didn’t realize I could kill a battery on a trackday, thank god Canadian tire actually stayed open till 9pm. They locked the entry right after we got in.
All in all I gotta say that the bone stock Z06 held up really well. No overheating, the brakes did really great, also those F1 supercars really took a beating well. I really couldn’t tell I had tracked them, unlike when I took the SRT-4 with BFG-KDW’s that looked like shit after even the first session. The only regret I have is not turning the Stability control completely off, then I could’ve had a little more fun.
is that what it was? i thought i heard a bad throwout bearing from the pits

Nahh It was my slave singing me a sad song of abuse.
I was going to change it before the event but just ended up doing it this morning.
The whole clutch setup in the miata is new :d
And in the video I think it is mike driving that time (black helmet can be seen pulling into the pits)
Not to say I didn’t do my fair share of spinning and offroading
Cassie - no problem, its what i do. im just sorry your car heard me insulting it, which resulted in it deciding to overheat more. im just happy it wasnt successfull in trying to throw me out
pull your front bumper, slide your AC condensers out of the way and clean all the shit out
bing: i see nothing wrong with those tires … less rubber = less weight = faster lap times = win
i also remember you stating in this thread that you WOULDNT be a madman out on the track, yet this proved to be fiction, every timeilooked out of the track you were driving like a madman
andtoday ifound out that the batteries for my camera that were fried by the malfunctioning charger ARENT fried anymore (donno how) so i could have had my camera at track day :meh:
damn good time, would do it again, even though i just helpout in the pits and stand on the side of the track to watch
First off, a HUGE thanks to Josh who set this up. Had the A4 in the driveway with the wheels cut to the right, not only are the sides shot, but the actual tread blocks in the center of the tires are chuncking like a mo fo. My GF said that the brakes sound HIDDEOUS when she took the car to the mall yesterday, I told her she should call Jeller and ask him how his ears were as I almost drove him to insanity on the way home. So, who do I send the $50 to for the 3rd track day?
50 seconds in is me trail braking the miata hard in 3rd gear and putting the rear end in the dirt.
Thanks to Minglor for letting me beat the piss out of it all day

lol, that was you. he told me he let someone else drive it and that driver was catching up and passing a lot of other more powerful cars, gj. that car is a riot to drive.

I didnt think i was driving that madly… it’s just that i am not getting smooth oversteer. It felt really really choppy on that long sweeper, admittedly, i was all over the place.
You learn a ton about a car on the track after just a few laps. Especially after rolling with Minglor in that miata… there is no way i could attack corners like that with the way my brakes are right now.

Bing!
I had a great time and if we do another track day and I manage to go, Come out and beat on the miata. It likes it.
EXCELLENT PHOTOS! I was only out for like 5-6 laps, before my car broke for the day, but you got some awesome flat cornering pics of my neon! Thank you!
