Does anyone have a resistance value, or a voltage spec for a CA O2 sensor(3 wire heated). I dont think the ECU will through codes if its screwed.
Go to
http://72.29.75.31/~videof6/manuals/S13_CA18DET_FSM.pdf
and in that mess you will find a diagnostic procedure for oxygen sensors. The same procedures from the sr series will work also. If the above link does not work, go to http://www.zeroyon.com/index/
and click through for service manuals and find yours. This is the manual that I used along with the S14 manual to trouble shoot my oxygen sensor. Ends up I incorrectly wired the power to it 6 months earlier.
For a quick summary from page EF & EC-97 of the CA18det manual:
Output to ECU is 0 for lean and 1V for Rich. of course failure of the sensor results in 0V which is safer for your engine This wire is pin 29 on your ECU.
Checking the resistance between the outside 2 wires, you should get between 3 and 1000 ohms.
The procedure in the manual makes a little more sense because you have pictures of the connectors, and it is difficult to explain it without.
Hope that helps. I am actually not running my O2 sensor right now, the car guzzles more gas, but is more fun to drive.
