If I really cared about going all out on these VMs I would throw a couple of the extra blades from my lab in a blade chassis and hook them up to a SAN here at work…

Disk I/O is going to be a limiting factor on whatever setup I run…

The point was I needed something portable and semi inexpensive to run a number of VMs on for a pen testing lab which is going to get donated to a company im helping get off the ground…I will get my money back from it someday but its not a real concern.

Originally this was going to replace my current desktop but plans changed and this is getting donated and I will build something else in a few weeks.
