I speak for 80,000 in attendance and millions watching.
:bigclap:
Great speech by Obama, lots of jabs to McCain.
OBAMA OUT OF NOWHERE!
obama just owned up that speech
and is still going to lose…
probably. its a shame, we are fucked for the next 4 years if mccain gets in.
Republicans = You’re on your own
Democrats = We’re in this together
Last night Obama finally seemed to get fired up a little bit and show the passion he will leadt his country with. I was very happy to see him fire back at Mccant
Republicans = Hoover, Nixon, now McCain
Democrats = FDR, Kennedy, now Obama
If McCain is dumb enough to pick Palin as VP (I don’t think he is) he might as well begin writing his concession speech.
^ Curious what you have against Palin. This morning was the first I’d even heard of her but after reading the wiki on her (not always the best source of info I admit) she seemed like a decent choice. Her willingness to take down corrupt people in her own party was the big standout on her resume, as well as her stance on eliminating pork spending.
There was speculation on him picking her awhile back, then it died down cause she’s involved in a scandal right now. When her sister got divorced from an Alaska state cop, she tried to use her office to get him fired. His boss resisted, and she basically cleaned house up to public safety commissioner for refusing to fire him. She’s currently being investigated by the Republican Alaska legislature. The Alaskan Republican party is full of scandals, with their top 3 under investigation.
He’s hammering Obama on offshore drilling and a WPT, yet she instituted a windfall profits tax in Alaska last year. More ticket hypocrisy.

That, and she basically negates the experience/ready to lead/commander in chief argument against Obama, particularly given McCain’s age, as well as would piss off your base.
Obama will win by a land slide. mark my words.
I’m curious to see if McCain can come up with specific economic proposals, like Obama did, in time for his speech. Right now, even right wingers recognize his current economic policy as smoke and mirrors.

I hope so.
Well, he picked Palin.
Doesn’t sound conclusive based on the article. She is there, but so is Romney and Ridge.
lol.
Seriously though, I think she may be a good choice.
She balances out McCain being in Washington for so long.
She’ll help pull over even more of Clinton’s “rah rah women power” voters.
She enforces McCain’s maverick image.
I don’t think the police thing will be an issue considering they appointed a democrat to run the investigation and that democrat has said subpoenas haven’t been needed because her office has been completely open and forthcoming with information.
In response to Palin’s statement that she had nothing to hide, in August 2008 the Alaska Legislature hired Steve Branchflower to investigate Palin and her staff for possible abuse of power surrounding the dismissal, though lawmakers acknowledge that “Monegan and other commissioners serve at will, meaning they can be fired by Palin at any time.”[49] The investigation is being overseen by Democratic State Senator Hollis French, who says that the Palin administration has been cooperating and thus subpoenas are unnecessary.[50] The Palin administration itself was the first to release an audiotape of Bailey making inquiries about the status of the Wooten investigation.[48][51]
Wooten and the police union alleged that the governor had improperly released his employment files in his divorce case. However, McCann’s attorney released a signed waiver from Wooten demonstrating that Wooten had authorized the release of his files through normal discovery procedures.

For some reason they haven’t updated the article to reflect the headline yet. She’s the pick.
