He’s always called for a 16 mo draw down
Link to him specifying union money as special interest
2 million plus donors is a pretty good reason to turn down public financing
A lot has changed in cuba since 2004
So you’re angry that he’s refined his position?
National stage politics it’s an argument not worth happening…
This is the bullshit that has to stop in politics, SINCE WHEN DID IT BECOME A BAD THING TO ALTER YOUR POSITION? I’ve never understood why it became a good thing to come to a decision and then stick to it no matter what situations change.
When he spoke about being in the prison camp he really drove home the point about how it changed his life forever.
I guess when you have that much time to think about life it makes you grow up pretty quick and realize what is important and not get wrapped up in what is not.
He mentioned how cocky he was until that humbling experience.
I think more people need humbling experiences, maybe not that severe but at least something to put them in their place.
The thing about the severity of his experience is that he will NEVER forget.
It really is invaluable in many aspects of the Presidency.
He knows what it’s like to be sent off to war.
He knows what it like to be mistreated.
He knows what it like to be permantly injured.
The list could go on and on.
It also says a lot about his mental toughness, most people would have cracked.
And no Joe, I’m not saying you should always follow every decision to the end. In Obama’s case however he’s presenting a track record that makes it appear he’s willing to go what ever way the most votes will blow him.
What I’d love to see you show me is where Obama has once taken an unpopular course and stuck with it because he knew it was right.
People forget how rare it was to oppose Iraq when it first started. The VAST majority of the country wanted vengeance against anyone that happened to practice Islam.
Truth.I did it about 10 yrs ago living in a hunting cabin with no TV,job, or even a phone at first.Nothing what he,or many others have went through but humbling nevertheless.Probably will/should have another one soon.
This is from our friends in Ireland…
(funny)
We, in Ireland, can’t figure out why people are even bothering to hold an election in the United States. On one side, you have a pants wearing lawyer, married to a lawyer who can’t keep his pants on, who just lost a long and heated primary against a lawyer who goes to the wrong church who is married to yet another lawyer who doesn’t even like the country her husband wants to run. Now…On the other side, you have a nice old war hero whose name starts with the appropriate Mc terminology married to a good looking younger woman who owns a beer distributorship. What in Lords name are you lads thinking over there in the colonies??
Great example of how you post, you say shit and don’t back up anything. I comprehended what you wrote, if thats not what you meant then thats your fault.
And as far as calling names is concerned…
You have more or less called me a socialist, a moron, and an elitist.
It’s funny how depending on the thread you consider the general population of the US to be either incompetent fools who should not even be trusted with a butter knife, or in this case, those who the potential leaders should follow blindly because what ever the majority opinion is it must be right.
I still think the perfect society was destroyed when europeans came to North America and slaughtered the Iroquois.
True it was entirely socialist, but it worked because no one had any understanding of personal property. They didn’t even need laws, courts or police, they self governed as a society and it worked.
I just heard unemployment hit 6.1% last month, the worst in 5 years.
What will this mean on election day?
Who is more likely to help employment numbers?
