True that. There is a reason why it is on my cheap beer list. I go to the local beer mart and get something different each week. There’s a lot of random good beer out there. And even more shitty beer.
Some others I like:
O’haras - Similar to Guinness but a little more coffee flavor.
Great Lakes - Cleveland brew house that names their beers after Cleveland disasters. Try the burning river!
Rogue Imperial Stout - Bitter as all hell but the taste isn’t too bad and its 11% to boot.
Stella - Hoppy Belgian white beer
Magners - Not beer, but hard cider. Tasty.
Hobgoblin - Not for you to drink, but give one to someone else and watch them take their first sip. Better yet tell them to funnel it and swear that its the best beer you’ve ever had.
Guaranteed Kick Your Ass Beers:
Middle Ages 10th Anniversary (don’t think they make it anymore) Link
Davidson Brothers Hop Scotch (or any of their scotch ales!)
For lighter beers, I like Rolling Rock and Samuel Adams Summer Ale
Girl I go to school with’s father owns Davidson Brother’s Brewery up in GF. She took me there one night for dinner, OMFG food was amazing! Didn’t get to try the beer but i’d imagine it is just as good as the food. :banana
Bad enough that I won’t touch it with a 10 foot poll.
I don’t know of any beer marts in the Capital Region. I live out in Buffalo and you can get most of these at Wegman’s or the local beer mart. But for the more interesting stuff (Hobgoblin, Rogue, etc) you need to find a beer specialty store. Hopefully someone else on here can point you some specialty shop.
I’ll have to take a picture the next time I’m in the beer mart. For some of you it would be like heaven. They have several hundred kinds of beer there.
daaayyymnn. Thats sick. I really wanna find out if we have anything like this around us now. I know theres wine and liquor warehouse, but im not sure if they do beers or not…
Normally budlight if casual drinking or a guinness. But most of the time I switch it up. When ever a new beer comes into my cousins beverage center I give it a try so there are way to many “pricey” beers to name
