jealous.

i layed a good 30-40 second heater back when kyle owned this

hate.you.jason. Id love to be able to ride on a dedicated track bike on a fraction of the tracks you’ve ridden :frowning:

06 ninja 250 haha its fun to cruise around on even though its slow

Dude trackdays are where it’s at, take a school, get some instruction and get out and rip. No cops, no tress or solid objects (at most tracks), no steel cages hurtling at you in the other direction with 90 yr old ladys driving them.

At the same time though I wish I could ride a lot of the roads out there that look like a lot of fun too.

are you allowed to ride the street?

the street is fun… the track is expensive… and at this point in my life, I dont feel like a track bike is a good investment, and taking the 10r to the track on a regular basis will cost me a fortune, not to mention its FAR beyond any skill level that I possess… Maybe ill pick up a 600rr/636 in the future to get some more track time and not worry about wrecking my baby.

Beaver run was a good time last year… I need to get back on the track for sure.

How often do you spend on the track in an average week? (outside of racing)

:carnut now thats a good rider.

please check your PM’s.

Technically I am allowed to ride on the street, but I never got around to getting my street license, and it’s generally frowned upon by the factory teams.

I usually spend about 36 weeks on the road now a days with all the testing we’re doing. Plus I usually help out at 10 or so high performance riding/racing schools a year out here in Vegas at the speedway. So for those 46 weeks give or take I would say I spend on average 2.5 days on the track per week.

as long as youre teaching them to do wheelies

ugh…makes me want a bike even more than i did 3 mins ago!!!lol

AND THAT ALONE… is what makes me so much more jealous of you. Well best of luck to you in the upcoming season. I’ll shoot you a pm If I get the chance to make it out to any of the races this year… Be safe

obviously… what else would i be teaching them on that torque monster you call a rebel 250?

How did you get into racing if you’ve never started on a street bike? Were you just brought up on motorcycles and racing? curious, awesome pic tho!

Dirtbikes… and the factory yamaha team
