It’s a long season. You are not going to win them all, not even if you’re Ottawa. You’re not even going to win them all in your division. No need to freak out because Toronto beat us. Take away the first period where it looked like 3/4th of the Sabres were asleep and that game would be in our win column.
My only real issue is the coaching decisions with the shootout. No way would I have had Connelly 3rd, and after Afinegenov’s performance in the last shootout I would have swapped him with Vanek. Kotalik is a no brainer with his quick shot, but last night he just missed. You’re not going to score on every single shootout.
The last time the leafs were even in the finals was 1967ish. My fat ass could win the cup too if i only had 5 other teams to contend with. Toronto is not going to be a contender this year, you can quote the hell out of me on that.
hold on a sec, they now have “im a big bitch and always hurt lindros”, yeah that will take them there, too bad the sabres have about 1/3 of the talent the laughs have and are still acres ahead on the standings.
Im not freaking out about us losing 1 game OMG’s the seasons over!!! Im pissed that ruff put in Biron over Miller in a big game. Like Robhimself said, Biron didnt practice very much this week and unless miller was hurt or something, he shouldve played that game.
Kotalik should never be put in a shootout ever again. He has a good shot when playing, but he is terrible in shootouts. Did you see his shot against philly? He did the exact same thing last night except went to either the backhand or something (opposite of the philly game) and missed. He doesnt even try to deak out the goalie not to mention he just glides his way to the net.
But you are right about one thing, YOU arent going to score on every single shootout. But afinogenov and connelly probably will :P.
But after this game, Miller should be getting more starts than Biron. Ryan has made some clutch saves so far tonight and despite the one goal on him, he came right back and made a beautiful save shortly after.
The team’s playing great in general too. And Grier scores a backhand!!! 4 to 1!!! Point made!
Ottawa was down 3-1 against the islanders and won 4-3, OMG!!! why do they have to be in our division? I just noticed that the sabres are only 2 wins less than their total wins from the 02-03 season, Talk about a complete 180, They are making me proud.
