****Official: Craigslists Ads****

wow sweet find.

I don’t understand the scam? I texted the local number on the ad a few days ago and someone replied back that it was a scam?

Probably not a scam but someone trying to pull one over on somebody. Did this with an asshole who I drove to NYC to buy wheels from and the dude never showed/called/texted once I said I arrived at the meeting point.

It was a scam…someone locally (at least it was posted locally) copied the pics from threads/posts that were posted all over about it along with a half ass sentence for a story. Someone out of state bought it last year to fully restore and sell for $30k. Read the first page of the link Jason posted.

yeah I know its a scam, I replied to the ad before I saw all this stuff posted. Usually scammers don’t have a local number so I thought it might be legit. Are scammers now posting local random numbers, then just hoping someone will email them instead. Then they try to bait them by email to send them $?

or they are posting a deal too good to be true with a number they want to get spammed…

May I ask your definition of a scam and how it differs from pulling one over on somebody?

@2TurboZ poorly worded on my part, this was more of what I was aiming for.

Why would you want someone to get there number spammed? Someone just being a ass? That’s something I haven’t seen, going through the effort to put a car ad together so I can fuck with someone.

LOL ask @newman

Oh it happens.

I’ve never done it, but I’d be willing to do it to a shithead friend of mine if he deserved it.

This probably isn’t nearly as funny as someone putting a W4M post telling dudes to meet her at Moe’s in OP, and to wear specific stuff.

From afar, watching about ten said dudes wander aimlessly around said parking lot with the same color shirts and hats is pretty damn hilarious though @djdstar

^^^lol. or when my cousins college baseball team posted a picture of him on CL M4M and his phone got BOMBARDED with texts from dudes asking to “meet up”

Yep, this fucking rules!

Someone did this to me not too long ago after I bought my Viper. It was up for sale for like 20K, before I could flag it in the two hours it was up I received about 60 phone calls.

EDIT: If that person is on here and I find out who you are I will fuck your sister/mother/female relative.

texted volvo dude a few times w/ no answer. bogus.

kind of makes me want to buy BBS RS/BMW Style5 reps to throw snow tires on…how stupid will it look out of 10…havent seen anyone put them on my car.

lol we counted 82 total

took 3 of us and about an hour each of straight copying/pasting to answer all the emails.

i tried doing it again later that year in college back in CT but not nearly as good of a response…

Yep thought it would make a sick beater bomb. Looks like it has some potential. Had cash in hand, texted the guy with no response. Ah well.
