I’m liking the sounds of this. First timer on track ( but a lil street exp.)
^ i’m in the same boat lol. Just gotta get the r32 ready this week…oh and a helmet too
How many sets of rear wheels and tires is decent to bring.
That depends on a lot of different factors:
How much power are you putting down?
- The more power you’re putting down, the more rubber you will burn
What tires are you using?
- used tires are cheap and fairly easy to find; but they are often dried up and won’t last long
- new tires will last much longer
How much time will you be spending on the track?
- obviously more track time means more tires!
Bring as many as you possibly can, but you never know how your tires will hold up. It’s better to bring too many and save them for the next event rather than ending your day early.
If you’re a beginner in a 240 with a KA, I would recommend at the very least 2 pairs of full tread rear tires.
Sr with standard bolt on’s , I work at a tire shop in Burlington soo all used but decent tires. I’m thinking like 5 sets of rears and some sticky fronts for a beginner like me.

You will also need a pair of decent tires for the drive back.
Driving on shredded tires with bald patches on the highway gets annoying and also unsafe.
Ugh I’m having clutch problems, hopefully I get it all sorted out by the end of tomorrow:(
Put a nice 1000km on it with no abuse.
By sets you mean pairs right?
unless hes driving a reliant robin, it would be a safe bet he meant pairs.
All talk no walk? Where the fuck is everyone from this thread?!
So ready rip…

It’s finally starting to look like a track day now!
Let’s keep the prepays coming!
Ya ya I ment rear pairs*
Now that we have a rough idea about tires, what about GAS? How much gas will i need? I have a stock sr on 10 psi with bolt ons.
Nate
Hey guys! Who would be interested in having a tire changer at the track? If there is enough interest I will make the 3 hour drive to shanny and slang tires for you guys. So you guys wont need alot of rims just bring loose tires. 10$ a tire is dirt cheap and especially when its done at the track. Make a list of guys who would need a tire changer for more then 2 tires and I will do some math and see if it worth it considering I will be looking at 80-100$ gas there and back and a full day in the sun ripping tires on and off.

depends on your driving style and how your car runs. I would put your tank to half and bring a full jerry can just incase.
I was just about to ask if there was going to be a tire changer available…sounds like a good idea!
Hey guys, if there is anyone in the GTA that wants to prepay in person, I will be at the new Tuesday East end meet at Wheels Direct from 9:30pm on Tuesday, July 5.
