but emery being all wheel drive has an advantage at the track over and rear wheel or front wheel drive car
but on the street it becomes a completely different story
and im a bit excited to see what emery has up his sleeves for this year
his car is gonna be flying with all the weight reduced and with him running the built buschur built engine
ive only seen good things with the engine he is going to be using on evom and all the cars using it are flying!
When you get into real big boy cars with big boy tire and suspension setups AWD does not have an advantage at the track over RWD.
Awd has the advantage for the first hundred feet, nothing more. After that, it’s just extra reciprocating mass slowing the car down. Emery’s car makes substantial power though and his ET reflects that.
Liberty drive…ah the good old days! There are still 3 or 4 GOOD dig spots. But you have to show up somewhat organized, do your thing, and then LEAVE! The LEAVING part is what wrecks every race spot. After a meet or two, pretty soon there are too many cars, people doing stupid things, and the wrong people there.
I have seen too many RWD cars 60ft in the ~1.3 range to go ahead and agree that they have an advantage at all. Even on the first 100ft. It only seems like this because of the advantage they do have when comparing the pathetic attempts at drag racing most people do. I am talking cars that have real tires and real suspension.

Sorry about our lame attempt at a street car shootout. I didnt know it wouldnt work for you guys. It was kinda a last minute thing though. This year it will be held on its own day. As for the track prep not being there, The fastest car went 9.0 that night and he had no problems. Infact that was the fastest he ever ran. Everyone I talked to loved the event and we had well over 100 cars in it.

and i do know that rwd when you get into big set ups will easily beat the awd
ive grown up around american muscle race cars that have like 20 inch slicks on the back and cut 1.4 60fts
not that many evos are doing that…
and that is why the worlds fastest “evo” was basically converted to rwd
the diff setup on it is like 90 in back and 10 in front
so i do realize rwd > awd for huge setups i was just saying generally from my end of it
